2ος Αγώνας Σέρρες 26-31 Αυγούστου
Serres Rally – Ένας αγώνας όπως τον ονειρευόμαστε!
Με χαρά και με τιμή η χώρα μας φιλοξενεί για μια ακόμη φορά στις Σέρρες τον 2ο Αγώνα του Πανευρωπαϊκού Κυπέλλου Cross Country Rally Raid για το 2013. Το Serres Rally που θα οργανωθεί για 3η φορά από το Off Road Team και την Λέσχη Αυτοκινήτου – Μοτοσυκλέτας Σερρών θα είναι και πάλι ο κορυφαίος αγώνας Rally Raid πουγίνεται στην Ελλάδα, ενώ οι προδιαγραφές της διοργάνωσης θα βρίσκονται σε πολύ υψηλό επίπεδο, χάρη στην εμπειρία και στις διοργανωτικές περγαμηνές των συντελεστών του.
1500 αγωνιστικά χιλιόμετρα με 1150 από αυτά στις 11 ειδικές διαδρομές, σε 12 βουνά, σε 5 ημέρες, σε 4 νομούς και σε 3 μεγάλες πόλεις…
Βουνοκορφές, πλαγιές, ποτάμια, δύσκολοι εγκαταλελειμμένοι δρόμοι, γρήγορες φλαταδούρες, καταπράσινα λιβάδια και off road περάσματα, λάσπη, άμμος και πέτρα, πυκνά δάση να κρύβουν τον ήλιο, παλιές στρατιωτικές εγκαταστάσεις, συνθέτουν όλα μαζί ένα απίστευτο σκηνικό…
Από το Κιλκίς και τις Σέρρες μέχρι την Δράμα, περνώντας από τα Κρούσια και το Μαυροβούνι, το Μπέλλες και το Άγκιστρο,
τον Λαϊλιά και τα όρη Βροντούς, το Μενοίκιο (ή Μπόσδακας) και το Γρανίτη, το Φαλακρό και την Δυτική Ροδόπη…
Από την λάσπη στο Δρόμο του Νερού,
στο ασφάλτινο σκεπαστό από την βλάστηση Καλντερίμι του Δρόμου των Οχυρών του Μεταξά…
Από την πέτρα στην διάσχιση της κορυφογραμμής του Μπόσδακα στα 1800 μέτρα, στην τεχνητή Λίμνη του Νέστου…
Από το Αρχαίο Σιδηρόκαστρο, στις ανεμογεννήτριες και τα θερμά λουτρά του Άγκιστρου…
Από την συνοριακή γραμμή στο καταπράσινο Μπέλλες,
στο δρόμο της Χελώνας με τα χρυσά χώματα που έχουν τα Κρούσια…
Από τα απέραντα λιβάδια με τις αγελάδες και τα άγρια άλογα,
στα βουβάλια και τους πελαργούς που ζουν ανέμελα στη λίμνη Κερκίνη…
Από το Δάσος της Καστανιάς και την ηρεμία στη Λίμνη Μενοικία,
στα περίφημα Δάση Ελατιάς, Μαύρων Πεύκων και το μοναδικό στην Ευρώπη Δάσος Σημύδας, πάνω στην Ροδόπη…
Κι από τα περίφημα αμμώδη πατατοχώραφα στη Βροντού και στο Νευροκόπι,
στις κορυφές του χιονοδρομικού του Λαϊλιά και στα ζαρκάδια που παίζουν στα Βλάχικα Καλύβια…
Ένα φανταστικό ταξίδι στην Μακεδονία, από μια διαφορετική οπτική γωνία, με καθημερινό «καταφύγιο» την Πόλη των Σερρών και το Ξενοδοχείο Elpida Resort & Spa. Μέσα εκεί αλλά και στον περιβάλλοντα χώρο, θα υπάρχουν όλων των ειδών οι ανέσεις για αγωνιζόμενους και συνοδούς, και θα στηθεί ένα ξεχωριστό bivouac με μοναδικό χρώμα!
Ένας μεγάλος, Διεθνής αγώνας 5 ημερών, που θα δοκιμάσει τις αντοχές και θα διεγείρει τις αισθήσεις!

Οι προδιαγραφές του αγώνα βρίσκονται σε πολύ υψηλά standards που θέτει η UEM και η FIM, ενώ οο προηγούμενοι αγώνες 2011 & 2012 απέσπασε διεθνείς διθυράμβους από ΟΛΟΥΣ τους συμμετέχοντες, δημοσιογράφους, και διεθνείς παρατηρητές!

Με πρωτοποριακά Paddocks, σε έναν υπέροχο χώρο του μοναδικού ξενοδοχείου, με όλες τις πολυτελείς παροχές μαζεμένες γύρω γύρω!
Με διπλό δορυφορικό σύστημα παρακολούθησης από την ΜyΤrack, και αμφίδρομης επικοινωνίας με τους αναβάτες και τα πληρώματα, τόσο για τον τομέα της ασφάλειας, όσο και για τον άρτιο έλεγχο τήρησης της δοθείσας διαδρομής.
Στον τομέα της ασφάλειας, υπάρχουν πολλά ασθενοφόρα και οχήματα ασφαλείας με γιατρούς και paramedics, ενώ υπάρχει και ελικόπτερο ασφαλείας σε άμεση αναμονή στα paddocks!
Αποκορύφωμα το έγχρωμο λεπτομερές Road Book για τους αγωνιζόμενους, αλλά και βιβλίο 120 σελίδων με όλες τις πληροφορίες αγώνα για τους ίδιους και τις ομάδες τους, με το πλάνο ασφαλείας και Road Book με πρόσβαση σε κάθε δυνατό σημείο.
καθημερινή ενημέρωση για την διαδρομή με προβολή σε αίθουσα…
Ο αγώνας παρουσιαζόταν σε «public live tracking» στο διαδύκτιο, και τα αποτελέσματα υπήρχαν on-line από την Infomega και το www.moto-live.info με σένσορες σε κάθε σημείο χρονομέτρησης!
Με το που τερματίζει η ειδική ο κάθε οδηγός, βλέπει τους χρόνους ΟΛΩΝ σε μόνιτορ!
Για πρώτη φορά διεθνείς παρατηρητές φεύγουν από αγώνα έχοντας ΜΟΝΟ θετικά σχόλια να εκφέρουν…
Για πρώτη φορά οι αναβάτες γυρνούσαν ενθουσιασμένοι από τις διαδρομές και την οργάνωση παρόλη την κούραση της κάθε σκληρής αγωνιστικής ημέρας!
Γιατί οι φορείς που έφτιαξαν τον πρότυπο αυτό αγώνα, όχι απλά πραγματοποιούν ότι υπόσχονται, αλλά και πολλά παραπάνω: το Auto Moto Club των Σερρών και το Off Road Team έδωσαν τον καλύτερο εαυτό τους για αυτό το αποτέλεσμα, προετοιμάζοντας αυτό τον αγώνα περισσότερο από 4 χρόνια!
Το Serres Rally 2013 θα είναι ακόμα καλύτερο, ακόμα μεγαλύτερο!
Ένας αγώνας που κάνει την διαφορά, ένα σημείο αναφοράς, μια υπόσχεση, αφιερωμένη σε όλους αυτούς που ονειρεύονταν έναν τέτοιο αγώνα!

It’s our pleasure and an honor to present to you the new version of Serres Rally for 2013! In August, the Town of Serres will welcome once again the European Championship Cross Country Rally Raid for the 2013 season. Serres Rally 2013, -the biggest Rally ever held in Greece- will be organized by the Auto Moto Club of Serres and the Off Road Team. It is a «bona fide» Rally Raid event which will be held in Northern Greece and is part of the UEM calendar, making it an official event of the European Championship Cross Country Rally Raid.
Furthermore, the organizational integrity of the event will be of the highest standards, since the Off Road Team (www.offroadteam.gr) and the Auto Moto Club of Serres (www.lams.gr) have already shown their quality with successful event organizations, like the World Championship Enduro WEC - EWC from 2004 to 2010, the ISDE 2008 and also the National Championship Rally Raid with 8 races every year all over the Greece, from 2005 to 2012.
Off Road Team’s experience for mapping out off road routes along with faultless design of Road Books and in conjunction with the organizational force of LAMS, guaranties a most exciting and unforgettable race experience.
After the big success of the Serres Rally 2011 and 2012, the next edition of our big race is on the road!

Mountaintops, slops, rivers, hard scrap roads, fast flat tracks, verdurous grasslands and off road trails, mud, sand and stone, deep forest screening the route, old military ruins, compile the perfect Rally Raid scenery…
From Kilkis and Serres to Drama town, through the mountains Krousia and Black Mountain, Belles and Agistro, Lailias and
Vrontou Mountains, Menikio (or Bosdakas) and Granite, Falakro (bald…) and West Rodopi …
From the muddy “Road of Water”, to the tarmac “kotzam kalderim” fortress green road from “Metaxa” season…
From the stony passing on Bosdakas mountaintop -1800 meters altitude-, to the artificial Nestos Lake…
From Old Sidirokastro, to the Air Giant Generators and thermal springs on Agistro Mountain …
From the border line on Belles Mountain, to the “Turtle’s Path” with the Golden Ground at Krousia Mountain…
From endless grasslands with cows and wild horses, to the buffalos and thousands of storks’ birds that live at Kerkini Lake…
From Castanea Forest and Menikia Lake calmness,
to the Fir Forest, Black Pine Forest, and the unique Simida Forest in Europe on the top of Rodopi.
And from well known sandy potato fields at Vrontou,
to the crown of Lailias and the deers playing round the loam roads and paths around…
It will be a fantastic trip through Macedonia, from a different point of view!
At the end of every day we will gather at the town of Serres, at Elpida Resort & Spa Hotel. Inside this ideal place, there are all the facilities for competitors and followers at a special colorful bivouac!

The Serres Rally Team, comprised of two riders, Dimitris “Doc” Athanasoulopoulos (organizer of Serres Rally) and Angelo Pandelidis (privateer rider and owner of TwoOneZero) participated in the Athens 24 Hours Rally Raid 2012, on November 24-25, and succeeded a fantastic result: 1st and 3rd places in the Overall Classification!
After 750km and more than 16 riding hours of special stages, with various difficulties including mud and foggy conditions during the night stages, Athanasoulopoulos on a KTM EXC250F won the race (and the M1 class - up to 450cc) for the 2nd consecutive time by 8 minutes over Austrian Juen Beat (KTM EXC 530), who won the M2 (over 450cc) class.
Third overall and 2nd in the M2 class, Pandelidis rode his KTM EXC 520 to the finish with an impressive pace despite losing a lot of time in the foggy second special which confused almost all the riders.
The riders of Serres Rally Team were supported by a well-organized team comprised of Zikos Bafetis as chief mechanic, George Karouzos, Takis Ionas, Elvis Drini and Stavy Nikolaou.

After the X Rally Marrakech from 5th to 8th March, across the Atlas with "cap" Agadir,
the Serres Rally from 26th to 31st August,
will be the second round of the Promotional Championship
which aims to breed the future generation of Rally Raid Riders!
The Greek mountains will be the scenery of the amazing 5-day race at Serres.
The agreement is a milestone and a testament
of the exceptional organizational level of Serres Rally,
and places the best Greek Rally Raid in the prestigious position alongside other internationally acclaimed.
The last round will be the Merzouga rally, at his 4th edition, from 21st to 26th October.
