Welcome aboard Dejan.

The ex-Greek Army's M38A1 are becoming more rare year after year, because recently some dealers from mainland Europe
wipped out all the last good ones, which remained in scrap yards. But you can find a M38A1 in good shape even now.
Stelios, Giorgos and Iannis from Thessaloniki may provide you more info.

Where exactly are you located?

Stay tuned!

Good Afternoon from me also

I am Ioannis and I am the M38A1 enthusiast in the club ( 8-) )

If you decide to come to Thessaloniki we may arrange some meetings and visits with the local dealers

in any case you should consider somewhere around 2.500,00 to 3.500,00 euro for the basic jeep

You can send a PM for any further info you would like to have

Have a nice evening

There is a myth that there are some WWII vehicles at villages around Pancevo, near Belgrade.
Have you heard that Dejan?

Secondly, I'd like to ask you, what kind of ex-military vehicles usually someone can find at Serbian dealers yards?

well you know my opinion....

Jeeps must have chassis and the best chassy-based jeep is the M38A1, its so simple....

In any case the Museum Of Modern Arts agrees with me...

In 1952, engineers at Willys-Overland modified the original 1940s design and produced the M38A1, a new model that was faster and slightly larger and that was widely considered to be the best military Jeep ever built. Like the model on which it is based, the M38A1 is characterized by a flat body with high ground clearance yet with a low overall height. Whereas the earlier Jeep avoided all sense of styling or streamlining, the M38A1 possesses greater verve, with curved hood and fenders, and a front grille panel with bold vertical slots and recessed headlamps-characteristics still seen in today's Jeeps. The M38A1 remained in production for sixteen years and strongly influenced the design of popular civilian Jeeps for more than three decades-a testament to its functional appeal and its transformation into a cultural icon.
